OUR FEES

Attorneys in family law matters charge for their time. Our charges are based on an hourly rate which will be established at the time of our retention. Unlike some firms which bill by the quarter hour, we bill by the tenth of the hour so that charges more closely reflect the exact amount of time applied to tasks in your case. In all cases we will require a cash advance (retainer) against which we will bill periodically for any time spent on your case. You will be requested to maintain and replenish your balance in our trust account. The exact amount of the cash advance will be determined at the time of our initial consultation depending on our assessment of the complexity of your case.

Some costs will undoubtedly be charged to you in your case. Delivery charges, photocopying, travel time, and postage charges will be in included on your invoice. You will be requested to pay third parties, such as process servers, experts, court reporters, and others directly. The exact terms of our billing will be explained in a written fee agreement which will be provided to you when you retain this firm.
