Biography: Melannie H. Diño’s practice encompasses all areas of family law including support issues, distribution of property, child custody and visitation, marital and premarital agreements. She brings a compassionate and pragmatic approach to the practice of law. In custody matters, Mrs. Diño focuses on what is best for the children, and she understands that absent unusual circumstances, children need both parents in their lives. The best interests of her clients are paramount and she does not hesitate to litigate when necessary. Mrs. Diño was born in Erie, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a B.S. in Communications from Clarion University, Pennsylvania. As a student she attended Professional Development and Leadership seminars, was a member of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, and was an active member of the school newspaper and year book. Mrs. Diño attended law school at Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. While at Widener, she participated in the Student Law Clinic where she represented indigent clients in legal matters relating to unemployment, bankruptcy and divorce. After law school, Mrs. Diño clerked for a small firm in Erie Pennsylvania before relocating to the Northern Virginia area in 2001. She spent her first three years in the Northern Virginia area administering lease agreements for XM Satellite Radio Inc. In 2004, she stepped away from the corporate arena and joined a small law firm in Vienna, Virginia as an Associate Attorney focused solely on domestic relations law and family issues. Mrs. Diño joined Masterman & Graham, P.C. in October of 2007 and has continued to focus her practice on family related issues. Mrs. Diño currently lives in Ashburn, Virginia with her husband and her playful Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever, Maddy.
